Easter
The weekend is here. It is always a good time to relax and be with family and friends. This weekend started great with a Good Friday service and a relaxing day to follow. Yesterday was my last 12.5 hour shift. Yes.. no more.. nada.. never again. It felt like a ton (tonne) of bricks has been lifted from my shoulders and my head can finally pop back out. The stress is gone. I was given a fine lunch and a gift certificate and a nice card with many thoughtful comments. It is funny though - we always get the comments that praise your character and ethics or personality the day you leave - never during your stay. I was always one who liked feedback (good or bad) on a weekly basis. That can keep one honest and working harder. Nevertheless it was nice.
I had great plans to lay it on the line - tell the management what was going on and what a political playground I was in. But, alas, I didn't. I thought I better not burn any bridges.
I am now available after the Easter weekend to my new employer and can hardly wait.
Have a fine holiday no matter what you may believe and hope the easter bunny finds you :)
Paul
