I woke this morning (a good thing) with lots of things on my mind ( another good thing) but am in decision mode. It can be good to have to make a decision - but bad if you make the wrong one. Or is it?
Here is what "decision" means from Wikipedia: "Decision making is the cognitive process leading to the selection of a course of action among alternatives. Every decision making process produces a final choice. It can be an action or an opinion. It begins when we need to do something but we do not know what. Therefore, decision making is a reasoning process which can be rational or irrational, and can be based on explicit assumptions or tacit assumptions."
Two words in that definition can make one nervous - decisions produce a FINAL choice and can be IRRATIONAL. My hope of course that I will make a rational choice considering it is final.
Here are the choices I have to make:
I need to decide on taking a driving course (3 months - December to March) which involves getting a student loan ($8000), quitting my IT job (12.5 hour shiftwork), and starting a new driving career.
My problem is mostly surviving while educating myself. Well, it is a sunny Saturday. I have all day to work it out - follow through on the fantasy - I'll keep you posted.
Have a good day :~)
