New Years Resolutions

I woke on this sunny Saturday morning (a cool December 30th) and realized we are quickly approaching a new year.. 2007!! The first thing that comes to mind, and out of every mouth, is "ahh.. time for my 'new year's resolution' ". How often have we heard that and if we would have followed up we would have found that most fizzled into thin air not long after the novelty and the holidays ended.

So, this year when we make a so-called 'resolution' it should be more of a decision, a life changing event, not a fad, or diet, or promise to do something that we know we won't stick to. Many times we come out of Christmas slightly guilty of extra weight or debt. Lifestyle will change that - not a resolution. The word is good, don't get me wrong, if we have a problem we should resolve it, but instead of adding pressure to our already pressurized life, let's just make it habit (lifestyle habit). The result will be a resolved problem but without the New Year's stigma and lack of successful result attached.

Have a most happy new year and decide to live good. By-the-way I am going to lose 30 pounds!!! What does that mean? A diet? .. nope.. I plan to eat right and exercise daily. I'll let you know how things work out :~)

Have fun!
Paul
